BACKGROUND RESEARCH

INTERVIEW

We started our project off by conducting research on our client - IFL's. Firstly, we looked at IFL's website to find out their existing programmes, tools and events. This helps us vision what IFL is doing and provides a clearer direction for our project as well. Secondly, we look up on their social media presences on Instagram, Facebook, Youtube as well as their telegram channels. This shows us how well IFL is approaching and reaching out to the audiences.

After collecting the surveys, we then moved on to conduct interview with 12 interviewees varying from different ages of our target age group and the purpose of interview is to generate qualitative insights and delve deeper and understand their behaviours and discover pain points.

SURVEY

We crafted a survey to give us a better understanding of youth's current financial behaviour and how they make their financial decisions. Using google forum to conduct the survey, we send out these survey to various group chats and Instagram. The survey results consisted a total of 206 respondents, with our target age group 16 to 25 years old and it helped us to generate useful insights. 

GENERATE INSIGHTS

After finishing our survey and interviews, we consolidated our data results and went on to generate insights which help us to understand and dig deeper to find out the key issues related to our problem statement. 

PERSONA CREATION

From the various data point collected from our survey and interview, we extracted common points among youth and craft our persona base on those pointers.

FINAL RECOMMENDATION

CREATION OF USER JOURNEY MAP

IDEATION

After user journey map creation, we have a list of opportunity and pain point to take into consideration for our solution. With that in mind, we looked through various tools and resources available and brainstorm on new ones

Upon creation of the persona, we also crafted our a user journey map. The user journey map created is base on the common pain points and struggles of the youth. Through the user journey map, it helps us with relating to the audiences and also find out opportunity to help them change their financial behaviour. 

After going back and forth, debating on the various solution best suited for IFL and the youth, we finalise on 2 solutions,. With the 2 solution in mind, we started crafting the prototypes and also research on them. In addition, we ask around the youths for feedbacks for us to better cater to them.
